bring the EHOD to live
ROC van Amsterdam: Vocational education is the expertise of this largest education institute of Amsterdam, that has years of experience in training young people in different professions (including Dance) which match the demands of the market. The ROC van Amsterdam (ROCvA) supports EHOD because they aim to stimulate young artists to find their way into the international working field. The MBO 5 level of EHOD which matches the BTEC Higher Nationals Diploma for the Performing Arts will open doors for students who want to transfer to higher arts programmes at international universities.
SummerDanceForever: As the organizer of the biggest inner city urban dance festival worldwide, Summerdance is interested in creating a platform that stimulates and inspires young urban dancer to evolve. Therefore this foundation supports EHOD to the fullest and gladly provides internships during the festival.
Rick Odums: Worldwide acknowledged as the most influential jazz dance university in Europe, the Centre International de Danse Rick Odums in Paris supports EHOD. The focus on technical jazz dance skills and the history of jazz dance and urban dance that are addressed in the curriculum of EHOD, create a common ground for the persuasion that jazz dance is a full grown artform that should have a bigger place on the international stages next to Classical ballet and Contemporary dance.
In da House: INDAHOUSE is widely recognised as the pioneer company when it comes to House Dance in the United Kingdom. Clara Bajado is the director and the actual active members are Troy Banton (UK/Germany), Joel Glafke (UK), Frankie Johnson (UK), Sayaka Kudo (Japan), Khoudia Toure (Senegal). The vision of INDAHOUSE is to know, see and believe that House Dance would be recognized on every dance scene worldwide. So people are able to experience it, share it and cherish it, just like the founders did. To make this dream happen, initially INDAHOUSE focused on workshops and showcases at various different dance events. Later they organised house music parties every couple of months in Central London beginning with an initiation to House dance and performed as well on the same night, Djs were Afronaught (Bugz in the attic) & Tijo Aime (Atmosphere – France), INDAHOUSE also worked on theatre productions such as Rewind/ Body's Eye/ Club Life and Under the Bridge...performed in different festivals like B.Supreme, Latitude Festival, Move It, La Nuit de la Danse (Senegal), Royal Theatre and many more. INDAHOUSE supports young generations and worked 10 years ago with a Hackney based youth project Street Spirit whose focus is to get kids off the streets through dance, this project was what brought them into teaching. Each member is also active in the 'Battle' and 'competition' scene as dancers and organisers. For EHOD students the collective can provide internships at international urban art projects.
